NEST Day Resource Center
The NEST Shelter, at 601 Lovato Place (behind Super Save), has expanded to include a Day Resource Center, providing a safe, welcoming space for individuals in Taos to access support during daytime hours.
Why It Matters
In Taos, there are limited options for individuals experiencing hardship to safely spend time during the day. The Day Resource Center helps fill that gap by offering a consistent, supportive environment grounded in dignity and connection.
What We Offer
The Day Resource Center provides access to:
Basic needs such as clothing, hygiene items, and supplies
Case management and resource navigation
Computer access for job and housing searches
Connections to community partners and services
How You Can Help
This is a new and growing program, and community support is essential to keeping it running. Volunteers play a key role in helping us create a welcoming and functional space.
We are currently seeking volunteers for:
Day Resource Center support
Evening shelter support
Donation organization
Volunteer training opportunities are offered regularly to ensure all volunteers feel prepared and supported.
