Donate Supplies

Essential, every day items that help us provide a comfortable stay in our youth shelter.

Items we can accept:

  • Clothing (coats, hats, gloves, warm socks, scarves, sneakers, hiking boots, warm layers)

  • Sleeping bags and blankets

  • Sports equipment in working condition

  • Small furniture (nightstands, small dressers, dining sets)

  • Plates, bowls, silverware, cups, cookware 

  • Working flat screen TVs

  • Tools or equipment in good working order may be accepted, upon approval

  • Larger furniture (couches, dining tables, dressers, etc.) accepted only upon approval 

  • Small appliances in good working condition may be accepted upon approval

  • No older, outdated TVs, computers, or other electronics

DONATION DROP-OFF:

DreamTree Project is dedicated to our mission of providing housing and compassionate support services to youth, adults, and families experiencing housing instability. We gratefully accept donations that help support that mission. Small item donations may be dropped off at our campus at 128 La Posta Rd. Please call for approval on any larger items: 575-758-9595.

Urgent:
Emergency Volunteer Staffing Needed for Taos NEST Shelter

A critical situation is affecting our community's 18+ emergency shelter capacity at NEST—DreamTree Project requests your immediate volunteer support! NEST serves approximately 40-50 individuals everyday who normally rely on the shelter for overnight accommodation. Due to an emergency staffing shortage, NEST’s ability to open is pending adequate volunteer coverage. 

Immediate Volunteer Needs

To open and maintain operations through October 31st, 2025, we urgently need volunteers to cover 4 hour shifts:

Days: Mon, Thurs, Sun
Hours: 7:30pm–6am
Duration: Sept 29–October 31 (4 weeks)

What's Required:

  • One volunteer present at the shelter during operating hours to support DreamTree NEST staff

  • Volunteers can work partial shifts with coordination to ensure continuous coverage

  • Multiple volunteers can sign up for the same day/time to provide flexibility and backup
