DreamTree Project celebrates 25 years of youth housing

This year, DreamTree Project turned 25, providing housing and support to youth for two and a half decades.

For this monumental anniversary, The Taos News sat down with Executive Director Catherine Hummel to discuss the impact of their latest achievement — the expansion of their transitional living program from their little office on La Posta Road to serving people across four communities: Las Vegas, Española, Raton and Taos.

Hummel explained the program is independent housing for young adults ages 16 to 24. The youth, some with their own children, live in dispersed apartments with supportive services nearby and “incredibly dedicated staff.”
