DreamTree Project's "A Mile in My Shoes" First Annual Walkathon September 10, 2006

 Stilt Walkers from the Flying

Desert Brigade greeted walkers as

they arrived at the Solar Station.

DreamTree Youth crossing the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, commencing the 7 mile walk.

We raised $29,000 towards opening an Emergency Youth Shelter.

When fully functioning, the Treehouse Shelter will serve 208 youth in crisis per year. Our annual budget will be approximately $439,000. We have received $95,000 from our first Basic Center grant. This makes $315,000 left to raise.

Thank you for your continued support Taos!!

Julia Claus a liscensed massage therapist donated free foot massages to walkers on the veranda at the Solar Station.

Taos Search and Rescue donated their

expertise and time to man safety stations along the walk and at the Solar Station.
